I was just expecting a shitpost animation, instead I got an anti corporation masterpiece set in a dystopia. I was also surprised at how sharp the writing was. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

altffour responds:

Thanks, I really appreciate that! This is just the first of a five episode series, you can see the rest on Means TV.

Ok LiteralHat dude I'm convinced that you're a superhuman, not only were you doing this in between your regular job, but you also did this while also posting regular pieces of art AND while also doing your painting challenge. I absolutely adore the use of colour in this to convey emotion, it doesn't happen often but I'm so glad to see it whenever it pops up. I couldn't believe that the first episode could be topped but you proved me wrong. Trust me when I say that your stuff never disappoints.

LiteralHat responds:

i am god

you cant outgod me

Thank you for sharing this, knowledge is always appreciated

AlmyriganHero responds:

And thank you for the very generous review! The majority of watchers clearly weren't quite as impressed, but hey, that is kind of to be expected with my first shot at properly produced commentary.

Sometimes an animation doesn't have to be flawlessly executed 10/10 masterpiece that advances the medium that would've made Roger Ebert cream, sometimes just cool character design and cool scenes and a neat premise are all my gremlin brain needs, and this has both so I love it.

waxpersons responds:

Thanks, I'm glad you liked my character design, that's certainly where I had the most fun making this!

Now THIS is more up my alley, lovely animation, I can definitely see the love and the pure fun in it, a simple artstyle but very very charming.
The story while short really gives me early Youtube feelings, where people would just animate themselves and their friends just doing stuff and having fun, and I mean as a very high praise

There was a bit of an opacity issue where the colours were REALLY desaturated and muddy for a bit but that was probably on me(I assume so because I increased the opacity manually and it seemed to fix it)

JComX responds:

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like this one more. lol I like doing this kind of animation, but it takes a lot longer, and not as many people seem interested in original animations like this unfortunately. Although, people on Newgrounds like things like this a lot more, which is awesome! I like doing both kinds of videos, but they're totally different styles. It's hard to find a good balance.

I don't really know how to feel about this, on the one hand I do think that the video is excellently made ,animated and written, but I've never really seen this type of content on NG(it might exist, but I'm not aware of any) That being said I did enjoy it and I learned a lot about gaming's earliest portable system, looking forward to more, whenever it comes

Thank you! I'm glad you like it!

The Emo Masterpiece of our Generation

Love this little short, felt a lot longer than 12 minutes. The characters had a charming design, reminiscing of 2000's underground punk culture(which must've taken hours to animate because the have so much details on them) The colours were amazing too, especially on the BG. Finally, the animation deserves a lot of praise too, you somehow managed to make me feel like I was watching a Trigger Studio movie

Hopefully I get to see these characters again

LiteralHat responds:

HOOOOLY SHIIIIIT no one will ever be able to comprehend the amount of pain that it took to animate these little shitfuckers. Thank you so much. Your words mean so much to me, this made my day!

Looks spooky

pixelrogueart responds:

Yes! It's suppose to be a psychological horror.

Just doing what I can to the best of my abilities
